I have an apartment building at 28 Bagdad Road in Durham. There are 6 apartments here. The building has great southern exposure and the rooms are sunny and bright with windows on 2 sides. Rent includes hot water and one parking space per resident. You pay for your electric, heat, & cable/internet.
1) There are 2, 2-bedroom apartments, each with a large living room, 2 bedrooms with closets, a full kitchen, and the bathroom has a shower—no tub. The rent is $1,600 or $800 per student.
2)There is one large one-bedroom with a large living room, a full kitchen, and a bathroom—two people/a couple would be comfortable here, or one can rent for $1000.
3) There’s a small one-bedroom with a kitchenette unit with a sink, refrigerator, and 2 burners. There is ample room for a microwave and toaster oven. This one is $800 per month.
4) The 2 studio apartments (and the small one-bedroom) have kitchenette units with a sink, refrigerator, and 2 burners. There is ample room for a microwave and toaster oven. They consist of one room with a closet and private bathroom. The rent is $800 for the studios, and that includes hot water.
Parties are not allowed in this building, (nor is smoking or any other tobacco use allowed on the premises). It’s in the middle of a residential neighborhood, and I have to be strict about noise, so it’s a wonderfully quiet place to live. There are stiff fines for noise violations of any kind. Quiet dogs are allowed.
